Hello fans! And a very special welcome to our new followers who have recently joined us, or are visiting us for the first time today.

With a heart for young writers, and a passion to educate them, we are proud to announce that our CEO, author Janet Beasley, is a member of the FPEA. She will be attending their upcoming convention this May to network with other members and keep an eye out for aspiring young writers. If you're interested in registering for the convention and all of the wonderful things they will have to offer at the convention, we invite you to visit: Florida Parent Educators Association on the web.

If you're a Florida home school parent or educator there is a wealth of goodness to discover through this association. Here's a taste from the FPEA website:

The FPEA serves thousands of homeschooling families in Florida, delivering a wealth of support, guidance and information to both new and longtime home educators. The "FPEA Experience" involves a banding together of homeschoolers to accomplish the task of developing academic and personal excellence by sharing resources, creating connections, enhancing relationships and breaking down barriers. Acknowledging there is no one "right" way to educate, the FPEA acts as an ambassador and champion, serving and protecting the rights and choices of all homeschoolers.
MISSION STATEMENT: The Florida Parent-Educators Association exists solely to serve homeschooling families in Florida. It executes that mission through support for the legal right to homeschool, local school board education and interaction, support group networking, a state convention, local conferences and events, informative communications, and individual encouragement, all in accordance with Judeo-Christian principles.

Go on an adventure with Lill and Mewe!

Have you ever wondered what life was like on Mars or what Martians think about Earthlings? Take a journey with a Martian girl named Lill and her special cat Mewe as they explore the universe around them. We call these books science faction instead of just science fiction. They are not only enjoyable to read but a fun learning experience as well. Author Jean E. Lane has woven scientific concepts and facts into her science fiction so readers are exploring and learning along side Lill and Mewe without even knowing it.

Lill and Mewe and the Secrets of Mars
Book one of the Lill and Mewe series
The year is 2456MD, (Mars Date) however the story events are happening in present times. The Martians track time a little differently than us Earthlings. To the average eye, the planet Mars seems dead, uninviting, dusty, and void of water. I say life did exist there at one time, and still does; we just haven’t scratched the surface yet. Maybe there’s a lot more happening than we can imagine, just because you can’t see something, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist right?

The secrets beneath the surface could tell another story. The story of Lill and Mewe, as told by Lill herself of how she feels about the lost history of Mars, her current life, and the great strides the Martians have made to recapture the advanced intelligence and technology of their past. It’s all about the role they play in our solar system and how they feel about us Earthlings. Are we even worth talking to? What could they possibly learn from us? Maybe we have more to learn from them but are we willing to open our minds?

Coming 2015! Lill and Mewe: Mission to Zanda
Book three of the Lill and Mewe series

Children of all ages will enjoy the sci-fi adventure Lill and Mewe: to Zanda.
The Martians have officially entered into their age of space exploration. MARSA and the MMSC have formulated a plan  for space travel well beyond the Milky Way Galaxy. After testing a theory using a probe, they realized they have to first travel backwards to find a specific wormhole. This would prove to be the shortcut to bridge part of the 2.5 million light years to reach planet Zanda in the Andromeda Galaxy. But where in the galaxy did they find this ‘super’ wormhole? What big surprise does MARSA have for the mission crew?

Lill and Mewe trek to Turtle Run Creek to see the rare turtle hatchlings that happen every 40 years. It appears the turtles communicate with each other very well. Like any little community, the turtles each have their own task to perform. When Mewe gets too close to some young turtles she is smacked and hissed at by a turtle that protects them. Mewe hissed back but understood they protect their young turtles at all costs. Do the turtles have any enemies? Is it possible for turtles and cats to become friends?
Merak stays behind on this mission but manages to create his own imaginary creatures at the Amusphere. During one of his holographic battles with otherworldly aliens, the program malfunctions and he is left to fend for himself. What happens?

The MMSC mission crew set off on their mission to Zanda. It is the first time the Martians are invited to join the United Alliance of Planets conference on that faraway planet. This takes place when the five blue moons align. It takes almost two weeks to reach their destination. Danger lurks along the way. Who or what do they encounter? What is a Pree? Is there trouble brewing in the universe?

Find out the answers to these questions and learn how Earth is connected to all of this when you arrive on planet Zanda.

About author Jean E. Lane!
Jean grew up in the once active steel town of Youngstown, Ohio. Since then, she has moved to the area and
considers this her home. Shortly afterwards, she met and later married her husband Ken; now they have a home just northwest of .

She studied Journalism at Writers Institute and Finance at . Most of her life included working in Accounting and Purchasing. Although she liked working with numbers, she knew she had an aptitude for writing at an early age. Jean had poems published in Seacoast Life Magazine, Wide Open Magazine, and was a poetic contributor to The Copy Desk Flash, a school newspaper. Later she signed a contract with Creative Directions as a free-lance writer of verse for greeting cards.

It was her love of science and science fiction that prompted her to write her first children’s novel, “Lill and Mewe and the Secrets of Mars”, the first of her series. Her inspiration came with the birth of her niece Lily and shortly afterwards a nephew, Andrew. As with all children, she wanted them to enjoy reading…and there’s nothing like a good adventure.
