Hello faithful, new, and future followers. We thank you for taking the time to stop by the JLB Creatives Blog. We're making some really cool changes around here at the blog, so please feel free to scout about and discover the many new pages listed at the top in the red bar. If you like any of them, be sure to share with your friends and family. The "easy" buttons are to the right for Twitter, FB, and more!
Just to let you know early - the JLB Creatives Blog will be taking time off over the upcoming holiday season. Regular weekly posts will end on Nov. 14th with an Author Splash of Carolyn Arnold, and will return Nov. 28th with an Author Splash of Ilil Arbel. Then in December, regular weekly posts will stop on Dec. 19th which will be a very special post for the season which will remain until regular weekly posts resume on Jan. 9th with an Author Splash of Lorhainne Eckhart.
This week is an Author Splash for the very talented Linda Hawley. Her latest book, "The Guardian of Time" which is the sequel to her highly successful release of "Dreams Unleashed."
These characteristics have made their way into the pages that you read. My head is filled with stories, and The Prophecies trilogy is only the first that's on paper. Writing it has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Many of the subplots and undertones of the trilogy came from my own life experiences.
I could tell you all about my higher education, my freelance writing experience, and a bunch of other professional qualifications, but do you (the reader) really care about that? My guess is that you care more that I write compelling novels that take you into a new world, if only for a while.
Thank you for reading my stories.

LINDA'S STORY:
At five years old, I fell in love with words. If I were going to clone myself as a writer, I would concoct a cloning recipe which would contain the following ingredients:
- Lots of varied life experience, to give enough flavor
- World travel experience, for color
- Passion, for spice
- A few crazy relationships, to create perspective
- One or two quirks, to add a little crunch
- Deep love, to introduce spirit
- Curiosity, to add a little danger
- A touch of paranoia, to interject alternate realities
- Lots of knowledge about current events, for texture
- Pride and humility, to bring human characteristics
- A touch of insanity, for interest
These characteristics have made their way into the pages that you read. My head is filled with stories, and The Prophecies trilogy is only the first that's on paper. Writing it has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Many of the subplots and undertones of the trilogy came from my own life experiences.

It’s the near future, and society is government controlled. Technology tracks everyone, and personal privacy does not exist. The hope for freedom lies in the operations of an underground organization, GOG, which fights against worldwide oppression. Their most powerful weapon is Ann Torgeson, a paranormally-gifted operative. When her powers release the seal of The Prophecies, she becomes a weapon against the government, which relentlessly pursues her. Question everything is the theme of Dreams Unleashed.
Synopsis of Guardian of Time:
It’s the near future, and society is government controlled. Technology tracks everyone, personal privacy does not exist, and even food supplies are being monitored. The hope for freedom lies in the operations of an underground organization, GOG, which fights against worldwide oppression. Their most powerful weapon is Ann Torgeson, a paranormally-gifted operative, who unseals The Prophecies with her powers. With the government doggedly pursuing her, she goes underground, fleeing the Pacific Northwest, but not before leaving three murders, one suicide, and an explosion behind her. Will she and her companions survive to change the world after everything twists and turns upside down?

NOVEL NEWS:
On the forefront is "Maycly" - Volume 1 in Janet's 6 novel epic fantasy series HIDDEN EARTH. For those of you following the publishing journey, know that we've still not heard from the publisher where Maycly was last submitted, but the time is drawing closer as to when we are allowed to make contact. You'll be among the first to know when that happens.
Should the current publisher decide it's "reject" - don't worry your little socks off. We've been doing a lot of consulting, networking, and researching so there are more options on the back burner just in case. We'll be sure and keep you posted!
Tell your friends and neighbors, invite them to come join the JLB Creatives Blog so they can keep up with this upcoming epic fantasy series you won't want to miss!
