Happy New Year to all of you faithful and new fans of JLB Creatives!

I'm your host, Author Janet Beasley. I'd like to personally welcome you back to the blog, and prepare your for the fun that is in store for the upcoming year, 2013.

The biggest news to hit the JLB Creatives scene is the building and growth of our company. As the owner and founder of JLB Creatives I am excited to see the company starting to expand and take shape.

JLB Creatives lies under the umbrella of Multi-Tech Productions, Inc. and handles the literary side of  the business dealings. By adding this new division we're proud to welcome our two newest JLB Creatives full time team members: Author Mark Miller and Author Jean E. Lane. Both of these fantastic people bring to JLB Creatives professional talents within a vast array of realms. In addition to being authors, both excel in additional fields within the literary world.

The NEW JLB Creatives

Please welcome and discover more about our newest
JLB Creatives executive team members:

Author Jean E. Lane will be serving as our Events and Research Manager. She will be handling a lot of the "nuts and bolts" that go with business, events, and publication as well as lending her creative ideas when it comes to promotions. She will also serve as a facilitator of the JLB Creatives team.

Jean E. grew up in the once active steel town of Youngstown, Ohio. She has lived in the Orlando area for the past eleven years and considers this her home. About ten years ago, she met and later married her husband Ken, and settled in their home just northwest of Orlando.

She studied Journalism at Writers Institute and Finance at Penn State. Most of her life was spent working in Accounting and Purchasing. Although she loved working with numbers, she knew she had an aptitude for writing at an early age. Jean had several poems published in Seacoast Life Magazine, Wide Open Magazine and was a poetic contributor to The Copy Desk Flash which was a school newspaper. Later she signed a contract with Creative Directions as a free-lance writer of verse for greeting cards.

It was her love of science and science fiction that prompted her to write her first children’s novel, “Lill and Mewe and the Secrets of Mars”, the first in her Lill and Mewe series. Her inspiration came with the birth of her niece Lily and shortly afterwards a nephew, Andrew. As with all children, she wanted them to enjoy reading…and there’s nothing like a good adventure.

Author Mark Miller will serve as the JLB Creatives Media and PR Manager. His duties will include overseeing social media presence, formatting of select anthologies for publication, and PR as well as assisting with coordinating marketing and correspondence with supporters for events. Mark will also be joining the JLB Creatives facilitating team to assist aspiring writers.

Mark currently resides in Florida with his wife and four children. Mark has completed five novels, a screenplay, three digital short story series and several other short stories. The first three books of his Empyrical Tales are available in print and eBook. Helping Hands Press published his adaptation of the Christian movie Daniel’s Lot, a spiritual series called One, and a children’s educational adventure series called Small World Global Protection Agency. Inspirational stories with positive messages are his goal with everything he writes.

Mark believes being a father of four makes him uniquely qualified to write for young people and adults alike. He hopes his writing sends a positive message with strong role models and a beneficial moral element. His two young daughters unknowingly provided the models that helped create the main character sisters in The Fourth Queen.

One of the things you will notice about JLB Creatives' new posts will be the weekly  artist features. Beginning December 2012 we started taking submissions from authors around the world to be featured on the JLB Creatives Blog throughout the year. We are very excited about the latest feature, and hope it brings to light new authors who are making their way in the literary world, and other artists whether for their first release or their 101st! It's a big sea to be swimming in, and JLB Creatives believes in authors helping authors and other artists get noticed.

The JLB Creatives Blog will also be an interactive experience for its readers. As a reader you can become a part by helping share these fantastic featured artists within your social network circles. It only takes a second to Tweet, share on FB, Pin it, or Google+ it by using the buttons provided near the top of the right hand column.

In addition to featured artists, we are proud to announce that JLB Creatives will be putting together a program to assist authors with Promotional Guidance, Consulting, and Facilitating either in person or through the use of technology and Skype.  We are also expanding our publishing adventures through putting together anthologies compiled from a wide variety of authors.

JLB Creatives team members, including  myself and my "Hidden Earth Series" illustrator and editor Dar Bagby, are heading up the Young Writers Group at the Pickford  Community Library in Pickford, Michigan, where Dar attends in person and I am "there" through Skype. These young, aspiring writers will be featured in an upcoming anthology of their fine short stories at the end of the school year 2013.

Stemming from Multi-Tech Productions, Inc. talents, JLB Creatives has also become a proud presenter for the Authors in the Park Event Series developed by Author Mark Miller.
